Beautiful large map of the Pacific Ocean. The many discoveries in the late 18th century in the northern part of North America and elsewhere have been incorporated, and the large scale allows for excellent detail. As a result of recent surveys, the western coast of North America is now shown with good accuracy, as is the southern coast of Australia. A large number of colored and dated voyage tracks are provided, including tracks for Magellan, Cook, Vancouver, Furneaux, and La Perouse. Overall, a wonderful, visually impressive view of the Pacific and the history of Pacific exploration.
